We recieved a letter in the mail from Kaia's school saying that she failed the eye test. We took her to the eye doctor and sure enough, she's practically blind in one eye. Her left eye is 20/20, but her right eye is 20/400. If you're not sure what that means, she couldn't even read the top letter, the biggest one, on the eye chart. Since her right eye is so bad, she has to patch her good eye to make her bad eye stronger. At first it was really hard for her to get used to, but she is doing so great with both the glasses and her patch. We will be going back to the eye doctor at the end of January to see if the patching has helped any. We are hoping it does.
